Moringa ovalifolia is an endemic tree of Namibia and southwestern Angola.[1]

It is a succulent-stemmed, erect tree found in desert and semi-desert areas. It occurs on rocky escarpment passes leading to the Namib Desert. The 'Sprokieswoud' of Etosha National Park is made up of dense stands of these trees.
