History

Mostyn joined the Clwyd League in 2007/2008 after being a junior side. That season was an admirable one for the team, finishing mid-table and reaching the final of the Halkyn Cup to finish as runners up.

In 2008/09, Mostyn were crowned Division 2 champions, losing one game all season and having an unbeaten home record.

In 2009/2010, despite Mostyn having the 3rd best goal difference in the league, they finished a lowly 6th and missed out on promotion by 3 points.

The 2010/2011 season seen many managerial changes with Keiron Griffiths taking over from Dave Bell and Ken Pugh after only 3 to 4 games into the season. Then for the final five games of the season we seen Karl Bacon take charge.

The 2011/2012 season for the new look revamped Mostyn Dragons under Karl Bacon was a bright one, with many new players joining and showing some real talent in pre-season training and friendlies. Karl Bacon brought in specialist goalkeeper coach Terry Sharpe to the coaching staff to keep the goalkeepers in shape and on there toes. The 2011/2012 season was defiantly a memorable one for the new look and newly established Mostyn Dragons having reached the cup final of the Presidents Cup and the cup final of the Auxiliary Cup in there first ever season as a new club.

The 2013/2014 has seen changes within the club, Karl Bacon has stepped down from management and is now the club secretary, manager of the Dragons is now club veteran Geraint Rowlands.[1]
