Mousa Kalantari (Persian: موسی کلانتری; born 1949 in Marand — assassinated 1981 in Tehran) was an Iranian politician and former cabinet minister in the government of Abolhassan Banisadr.[1] Kalantari died in a terrorist attack on 28 June 1981, when a bomb exploded during a party conference (Hafte tir bombing) killing him and 32 other leading politicians.[2] The Islamic Republic first claimed the bomb was planted by the Tudeh Party, although the assassin was later identified as Mohammad Reza Kolahi of the People's Mujahedin of Iran.[3]
