Mwangi wa Iria is a Kenyan politician. He is the Governor of Murang'a county.[1] He won the 2013 Kenyan gubernatorial elections under The National Alliance ticket.

Media

Several sources reported that he had threatened journalists after they questioned about use of state vehicles to run private affairs. On 21 October 2015, the Murang'a County Assembly headed by Speaker Mr Nduati Kariuki impeached the Governor Mwangi wa Iria with 34 out 49 MCA's having voted him out.
