Nanjinganthus dendrostyla is a species of possibly angiosperm plant known from Early Jurassic sediments in China. It shares many features with modern angiosperms, including an ovary and ovules. It is unknown whether it is a proper angiosperm and related to the ancestor of all modern angiosperms or a stem-angiosperm with no descendants. If it is an angiosperm, it could extend the known temporal range of angiosperms by 50 million years.[1][2]
