Nelson City Council

Nelson City Council is a unitary local authority and one of the 16 regions of New Zealand. It has its headquarters in Nelson.[1]

The current Council (2016–19) is composed of Mayor Rachel Reese, Deputy Mayor Paul Matheson and city councillors Luke Acland, Ian Barker, Mel Courtney, Bill Dahlberg, Kate Fulton, Matt Lawrey, Brian McGurk, Gail Noonan, Matt Rutledge, Tim Skinner and Stuart Walker.

Environmental programmes undertaken by the council include Nelson Nature and Project Maitai.
