The Newcastle Art Gallery (formerly the Newcastle City Art Gallery) is a large, public art museum in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.

Founded in 1945 with an art collection donated by Roland Pope, the museum opened its doors in 1957 and moved to a new, purpose-built museum building in 1977.[1]
