Ngọc Sơn (born November 26, 1970) is a Vietnamese singer.[1]

Early life and career

Ngọc Sơn was born in Đồ Sơn, Hai Phong, Vietnam. With Ngoc Hai and Ngoc Ha, two of his brothers, Ngọc Sơn has conducted many music programs. With a high, warm, healthy, and sound male voice, Ngọc Sơn became a quite stylish, professional performer. Ngọc Sơn not only left audiences in his country impressed with ethnic songs, his works also attracted others in many music genres like Pop, Rap, Rock, etc. Ngọc Sơn was quite successful with around a hundred music CDs and personal albums, along with a selection of 30 music tracks in English and other foreign languages.

Ngọc Sơn was awarded the Voice of the Western Provinces in 1985, Affectionate Singer of 1989 in Nha Trang, and, for his Ngọc Sơn Pop CD 1, the Winners Gold Record in 1997.

Style and language

In the 1990s, Ngọc Sơn became most famous. In evidence of his great singing, he attracted an audience of Japanese affection, being that two of his students are Japanese singers. In 2006, he posed for a poster "8 feet by Ngọc Sơn" named similar to "14 by the solid Buddha", including the sentences: "Ethical people are religious in their hospitality", "Man's most difficult challenge is to be a winner himself", etc. However, 20,000 poster sheets were printed and freely issued to boost his own image.

Currently, Ngọc Sơn no longer appears on television. In recent years, he has been active in charitable activities to take back what was lost.
