Stephen Ng'ethe Njoroge was a Kenyan diplomat.

He was the father of Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and the ex-husband of Parents for Rock and Rap founder Mary Morello. Njoroge was a Mau Mau guerrilla. His uncle, Jomo Kenyatta, was the first elected president in Kenya.^[1]

Career

In 1964, 1965 and 1966 he was member of the Kenyan Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
From 1963 to 1964 he was assistant secretary, Ministry of Lands and Settlements.
In 1964 he was senior assistant secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delegate to the Organisation of African Unity and member of the Delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
From 1964 to 1967 he was head of the Africa and Middle East Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nairobi.
From 1968 to 1970 he was counselor of the Kenyan Embassy in Bonn.
From 1970 ton 1978 he was Kenyan High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
In 1974 he was concurrently accredited as Ambassador in Rome and Bern.^[2]
