Nimbarus is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders). Its single described species, Nimbarus pratensis, is found in Guinea.[1]

Taxonomy

The genus was erected in 2002 by Christine Rollard and Wanda Wesołowska for the species Nimbarus pratensis.[1][2] The generic name is derived from the Nimba Mountains where the species was found. The specific name pratensis is derived from the Latin for "meadow", the habitat of the species.[2]

Description

The spider is about 4 millimetres (0.16 in) long. Only the male has been described.[2]
