Nirup Bhandari is an Indian actor who works in Kannada cinema.[1][2] He made his debut in the 2015 critically and commercially acclaimed movie RangiTaranga,[3][4][5] directed by elder brother Anup Bhandari, also starring Sai Kumar, Avantika Shetty, Radhika Chetan and Shilpa Singh. His role of Gautam was acclaimed and loved by the audience. RangiTaranga became the highest grossing Kannada Movie of all times breaking all records in India and also overseas.[6][7] Nirup holds an Engineering degree from Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology (VVIET), Mysore. Nirup is the son of director Sudhakar Bhandari who has directed Kichcha Sudeep in television serial Premada Kadambari. His elder brother Anup Bhandari is a director, lyricist and music composer. Nirup studied in Rathan Takur Grant and learnt dance under Sridharan Pillai. Before RangiTaranga he was a child artist in Jolly Picnic, and played the role of a psychopath in recent television serial Advocate Arjun. He recently got married to his long time girlfriend, Dhanya in Mysuru.[8]

Nirup and Anup Bhandari are coming together again after RangiTaranga for their next film, Rajaratha, which is said to be a romantic comedy.[9][10]
