Nonito Donaire vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux was a professional boxing match fought in the super bantamweight division. The fight took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 13, 2013 and was televised on HBO. The bout was a world championship unification match, with Rigondeaux's WBA Super and Donaire's WBO and the The Ring championships at stake.[1] Entering the bout, Donaire was 31-1 and had made three successful defenses of the WBO championship he had won by defeating Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. for the belt which Jorge Arce had vacated. Rigondeaux, meanwhile, was undefeated in his eleven fights entering this one and was fighting for the fourth time as champion; he won the interim WBA title by defeating Ricardo Cordoba in November 2010 and defeated Rico Ramos to become official champion in January 2012.
