Nope is an upcoming American horror film written and directed by Jordan Peele, released under his Monkeypaw Productions banner. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun, and is scheduled to be released by Universal Pictures on July 22, 2022.

Production

On November 9, 2020, it was revealed that an untitled film written, directed, and produced by Jordan Peele would be released by Universal Pictures on July 22, 2022.[1][2]

In February 2021, it was announced that Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya had joined the cast while Jesse Plemons turned down a role in the film in order to star in Killers of the Flower Moon instead.[3][4][5] In March 2021, Steven Yeun joined the cast.[6]

Principal photography began on June 7, 2021 in Los Angeles.[7][8]

Peele revealed the poster and film's title on July 22, 2021 and the additional casting of Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea and Michael Wincott was announced.[9][10]
