Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Schenectady, New York. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany.

Background

Bishop Gibbons High School was established in an 1958 as an all-boys school. Bishop Gibbons was founded originally by the Irish Christian brothers. Notre Dame High School was established in 1959 as an all-girls high school.[2] Bishop Gibbons and Notre Dame merged in 1975. The current principal is Michael §andor. [3]

Tragedy

On December 30, 2008, Mr. Thomas Maguire[4] died of heart complications. He had been at the school longer than any other teacher. He is deeply missed by all the students. We will always love him and miss him.
