At 7:30 am on 25 November 2021, a suicide car bombing occurred in Mogadishu, Somalia.[1][2] The bomber, in a sport utility vehicle, killed eight people and wounded 17 others, including teachers and pupils at Mocaasir Primary and Secondary School, which was badly damaged by the bombing.[1][2] Jihadist group al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they were targeting an African Union Mission to Somalia convoy.[1][2]
