Nurul Islam is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the present Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment.[1][2][3]

Early life

Islam was born in Chandgaon, Chittagong District. He graduated from the Chandgaon NMC Adarsha High School and the Chittagong College.[4]

Career

Islam has written 32 books. He has established 27 educational institutions in Chittagong. He fought in the Bangladesh Liberation war and defended Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra at Kalurghat. He was elected to parliament from Chittagong-9 on 29 December 2008. He was made the Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment on 14 July 2015.[4]
