Nylandtia is a small genus of two species of shrub, in the family Polygalaceae. The genus is endemic to the fynbos vegetation in the winter-rainfall parts of the Cape, South Africa. It is named after the early Dutch botanist Pierre Nylandt.

The species of this genus are commonly known as "Tortoise berry" plants ("skilpadbessie"). This is because of the bright edible berries that they produce, which are relished by the tortoise species of the region.[1]
