Okab Sakr or Oakab Saker (born 1975) is a Lebanese journalist and politician, lost his father before he was born during the beginning of the Lebanese civil war. Okab won a seat in the Lebanese parliament on June 7, 2009, and one of few Muslim Shiites that supports the 14 March movement.

Education

From The DEA Beirut he holds a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy and Sociology, then Received a Masters degree in Social Psychology and higher education degrees also from (DEA) in Political Sociology and Philosophy [citation needed].. [1]

Career

  • He worked as a teacher for two years at USJ’s Islamic and Christian Studies Institute, contributed to the establishment and management of the Permanent Dialogue Center,
  • Worked as assistant managing editor for Al-Balad newspaper.
  • Manager of the New Opinion Center
  • General Coordinator of the Arab Forum for Dialogue and Citizenship
