The company's headquarters are located in Nairobi, Kenya, with subsidiaries in Kenya, Botswana and South Africa. The company is listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and trades as OCH. In addition to the NSE listing, its Botswana subsidiary Olympia Capital Corporation is listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange.

Overview

The company was originally established in Kenya as Dunlop Kenya Limited, a branch of Dunlop United Kingdom; in 2004, the company group was established as Olympia Capital Holdings Limited.[5]

Its corporate direction is toward increasingly diversified manufacture of building materials and home improvement goods such as aluminum window frames, rubber products, curtains and food processing.

  • Mather + Platt Kenya Limited – Nairobi, Kenya, 56.70% shareholding - Incorporated in 1972, the company is a leading fire and mechanical engineering contracting company as well as distributors of high quality pumps in East Africa.[9]
  • Avon Rubber Company (K) Limited – Nairobi, Kenya, 47.50% shareholding - Manufacture and sale of industrial rubber.
  • Olympia Capital CorporationGaborone, Botswana, 50.50% shareholding - Holding company for the Southern Africa Operations. Listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange.
  • Kalahari Floor Tiles Pty – Gaborone, Botswana 100% Shareholding through Olympia Capital Corporation - The largest manufacturer of vinyl floor tiles and vinyl sheeting in Southern Africa. It is also involved in home improvement goods such as aluminum window frames, rubber and curtains.

Suspension on The Botswana Stock Exchange

In October 2013 the Botswana Stock Exchange-listed subsidiary of Olympia Capital Holdings was suspended from trading. The subsidiary, which owns the bulk of Olympia Capital Holdings' productive assets, was suspended because it has failed to supply the exchange and its shareholders with audited financial statements.[11]

Olympia Capital Corporation was previously suspended from trading on the Botswana Stock Exchange in August 2009 after it failed to report a loss of P17 million in its February 2009 annual report.[12]
