Oxford Central Library is the main public library in the city of Oxford, England.

The library opened in its current location in 1973 above shops in the Westgate Shopping Centre.[1] Over 200,000 items are available for loan.[2] The library is run by Oxfordshire County Council. The library has used the OpenGalaxy library automation system since 2003.[3]

Due to the redevelopment of the shopping centre the library closed for the public on February 27, 2016 and is expected to reopen in October 2017. During this time the library is expected to open at a smaller temporary location close by.[4]
