Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), formerly known as Doctors Hospital, is a healthcare system headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. It is made up of 14 clinics and two hospitals located throughout the Ozarks. The organization currently employs more than 800 employees[1] and operates as a privately owned,[2] for-profit organization. The hospital is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association's Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.[3]
Facilities
The OCH health system comprises two hospitals located in Springfield, Missouri and Gravette, Arkansas. There are 14 additional clinics[4] located throughout the Ozarks including Webster County Clinic in Rogersville, Christian County Clinic in Nixa, Lawrence County Clinic in Mount Vernon, Jasper County Clinic in Webb City, Polk County Clinic in Bolivar and Gravette Clinic in Arkansas. Clinics in Springfield include Advantage Therapy, North Pediatrics, Primrose Clinic, Pain Clinic, Primary Care Clinic, Northside Clinic, Specialty Clinic and Physician Clinic.
Community Impact
OCH is classified as a safety-net provider[5] serving primarily Medicaid and Medicare patients. In 2009, OCH’s Medicaid Clinic received 33,493 visits.[6] Also in 2009, a total of 22,824 patients visited the hospital's emergency room and OCH physicians performed a total of 132 inpatient and 1,367 outpatient surgeries.[7]
