Palavansathu is a locality in Vellore City in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Palavansathu had a population of 16,136. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Palavansathu has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 81%, and female literacy is 70%.
