Parroquia (Spanish: [parokia], Galician: [paˈrɔkia], pl. parroquias; Asturian: [paˈrokia], pl. parroquies) or Parròquia (Catalan: [pəˈrɔkiə] pl. parròquies) is a term equivalent to the English Parish; used in Andorra, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and some parts of northwestern Spain.
