Pat Welsh (born 1957) is the head of sports for Seven News in Brisbane.[1]

Welsh, who is best known for his rugby league and golfing commentary has travelled extensively throughout Europe, Australia and United States for the Seven Network. He has covered a wide array of events including the Melbourne Cup, Olympic Games (Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney, Athens, Beijing, Rio),[2] Winter Olympic Games (Nagano, Salt Lake City, Torino). Welsh has presented sport for the Brisbane news bulletin since 1975.

In June 2010 he announced that he was engaged to Cecilynne Jurss.[3]
