Peacehaven Community School is a community secondary school for 11- to 16-year-olds located in Peacehaven, East Sussex.

The school was opened in 2001 following a 40-year campaign by the local community for a secondary school in Peacehaven. The (Acting) Headteacher is Mr Austen Hindman.

Peacehaven Community School (PCS) is smaller than most secondary schools. It has previously gained specialist status for science and mathematics as well as Healthy Schools, Sportsmark and Artsmark awards.

Inspections

In February 2008 the school was graded 2 by Ofsted, or 'good' overall. However, in the latest inspection, carried out in 2013, the school was shown to have dropped to a grade 3, or 'unsatisfactory' overall. This is reflected in the latest exam results, which show only 42% of students achieving 5 A*-C GCSEs (or equivalent) inc. English and maths[1] compared to the 53% national average.

The school is currently undergoing rigorous change in light of current poor GCSE results.
