Swinton Barracks

Perham Down is a village in Wiltshire, England, near Ludgershall and Tidworth. It is on the edge of Salisbury Plain about 6 miles (10 km) northwest of Andover, Hampshire and is often referred to by locals as Perham. The village is in Tidworth civil parish and lies about 1+12 miles (2.4 km) east of the town of Tidworth.

In 1915 a hutted army camp was built on Perham Down. The barracks were rebuilt between 1972 and 1974 and renamed Swinton Barracks at that time.[1][2][3]
