The Boundaries of Peshrar block touches Gumla district, Latehar district and Kiskko,Senha block of the Lohardaga district. 05 Gram Panchayats cover 74 villages, with a total population of 31034 . Male population was 15,762, female population 15,272. There were 5,969 persons in 0-6 years age group

Languages

Languages spoken here include Asuri, an Austroasiatic language spoken by approximately 17 000 in India, largely in the southern part of Palamu;[1] and Bhojpuri, a tongue in the Bihari language group with almost 40 000 000 speakers, written in both the Devanagari and Kaithi scripts.[2]
