Petříkov[1] (German: Peterswald)[2] is a rural village, administratively a part of Ostružná, and ski resort in the Jeseník Mountains in Olomouc Region, Moravia, in the Czech Republic. It is 15 kilometres from the town of Jeseník. The resort is well known for its winter sports, especially skiing.[3] It also has a summer "bobsled" run.[4]

History

The village was founded c. 1617 by Hanuš Petřvaldský and was originally known as Peterswald (Peter's Forest).[5] It has a chapel (built in 1909) dedicated to St. Lawrence.[5][6]
