Phil Spivey

Phillip Spivey (born 15 May 1961) is a retired Australian hammer thrower.

He won the bronze medal at the 1986 Commonwealth Games,[1] finished sixth at the 1989 World Cup[2] fourth at the 1990 Commonwealth Games,[citation needed] and eighth at the 1992 World Cup[3]

Spivey never became Australian champion. His main competitors were Hans Lotz, Joe Quigley and Sean Carlin.[4] His personal best throw was 70.94 metres, achieved in July 1986 in Hechtel.[5]
