Location of Trebišov District in the Region

Plechotice (Hungarian: Pelejte) is a village and municipality in the Trebišov District in the Košice Region of south-eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1324.

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 142 metres and covers an area of 12.936 km². It has a population of about 775 people.

Ethnicity

The village is about 99% Slovak.

The village has a public library and a football pitch
