Populus × canadensis, known as Canadian poplar or Carolina poplar, is a naturally occurring hybrid of Populus nigra and Populus deltoides.[1] It is commonly used by landscape architects. Varieties include "Aurea" ("Golden Carolina poplar")[2] and "Robusta".[3]
