Primitive Rhythm Machine is the fifth studio album released in 1995 by Christian metal band Mortification. This album was produced by and features guitar work from George Ochoa who also played in Deliverance, and features guest vocals by Vett Roberts of Recon.

"40:31" is about the verse Isaiah 40:31. The verse reads: "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as EAGLES they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint"
