Primrose Sands is a suburb of south-eastern Tasmania, near Hobart. It lies at the northern channel between Frederick Henry Bay and Norfolk Bay.

It is considered one of the more affordable suburbs of Hobart.[1][2]

Primrose point, which lies in the township, was named 'Point Renard' by D'Entrecasteaux, on November 5,1792, after his surgeon, Recherche.[3][4] Its coordinates are: Latitude: -42°54'0.01", Longitude: 147°41'0" [5]
