The Psychomyiidae are a family of trumpet-net and tube-making caddisflies. Members of this family are typically very similar to polycentropodids, but usually differ in leg characters. Larvae also tend to construct silken tubes.
The type genus for Psychomyiidae is Psychomyia P.A. Latreille, 1829.[1]
