Pulipaarvai (lit. 'Sight of a Tiger')[1] is a 2014 Tamil-language film about Balachandran Prabhakaran directed by Praveen Gandhi who also co-produced, composed and written all the songs and handled editing and art respectively. It is based on the real life of the 12-year-old youngest son of the LTTE leader, Velupillai Prabhakaran is widely believed to be executed after he surrendered to the Sri Lankan Army during the final stages of the Sri Lankan Civil War. It stars debutant child actor Sathyadev as Balachandran and "Vendhar" Madhan as Velupillai Prabhakaran. Praveen Gandhi's inspiration to make the movie came after seeing documentaries about Balachandran's execution in Channel 4 and BBC.[2][3][4][5]
