Ramez Naam, 2016

Ramez Naam is a professional technologist and science fiction writer. He is best known as the author of the Nexus Trilogy.

Early life

Born in Cairo, Egypt, his family moved to the United States when Naam was three years old. ^[1]^{[unreliable source?]}^{[user-generated source]}

Career

Naam was involved in the development of software products such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook. His last role at Microsoft was as a Partner Group Program Manager in Search Relevance for Live Search.^{[citation needed]}

Naam currently holds a seat on the advisory board of the Acceleration Studies Foundation, is a member of the World Future Society, a Senior Associate of the Foresight Institute, and a fellow of the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies.^[2]^{[non-primary source needed]}^[3]^{[unreliable source?]}
