The Rembetika Hipsters are a Canadian musical group based in Calgary, Canada. They perform primarily Greek rebetiko music, but they also explore music from Epirus known as epirotika, smyrnaiko music from the Greeks that used to live in Izmir, and nisiotika music of the Greek islands.

The band began as a duo in 1996 with Nikos Diochnos (bouzouki, vocals) and Allen Baekeland (guitar and vocals). Since then, they have been joined by Ben Johnson (percussion and tzouras), Lincoln Frey (clarinet, melodeon, and Baglama_(Greek)), and Jonathan Lewis (violin and baglama). Brigitte Dajczer (violin) also played with the band until August 2007. She currently is pursuing a busy music career in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Other occasional members include Danny Patton (bass), Malcolm Lim (percussion), and Jon Nordstrom (bass).

They perform mostly in Canada. They have traveled to Greece twice to study and learn about the culture. The Hipsters also perform every Wednesday evening at Pegasus Restaurant in Calgary.
