Resit Schuurman (born 31 March 1979 in Deventer[1]) is a Dutch footballer who is currently without a club. He is a defensive midfielder renowned for coupling physical power with great technique.
Schuurman made his debut in the professional football squad of Go Ahead Eagles in the 1997–98 season. He also played for N.E.C., FC Twente, De Graafschap, and Heracles Almelo before returning to Go Ahead Eagles. He was released after his contract had expired in July 2013.
In July 2009, Schuurman signed with Heracles Almelo, after his former team, De Graafschap relegated to the Eerste Divisie. Schuurman said that "Heracles Almelo is a fantastic club with great fans, and I look forward to play for the team"[2]
