The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kisumu (Latin: Kisumuen(sis)) is the Metropolitan See for the Ecclesiastical province of Kisumu in Kenya.

History

  • 1925.07.15: Established as Apostolic Prefecture of Kavirondo from the Apostolic Vicariate of Upper Nile in Uganda
  • 1932.05.27: Promoted as Apostolic Vicariate of Kisumu
  • 1953.03.25: Promoted as Diocese of Kisumu
  • 1990.05.21: Promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kisumu
