Roman Schatz (born 21 August 1960 in Überlingen, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany) is a German-born Finnish journalist and author. He has appeared on TV in various programmees, including his own show Toisten-TV, in international movies Better Than Andy and he has written several books. His first book was called From Finland with love – Suomesta rakkaudella. Many of his books also have been published in Germany.

Roman Schatz emigrated to Finland in 1986 with his Finnish girl friend who he met in Berlin, who later became his wife. The couple later on divorced in Finland. They have two children,a boy and girl. Schatz worked in the German-language service of the Finnish Broadcasting Company.

Schatz was naturalized Finnish citizen in 2012 and he holds also German citizenship.

Schatz hosts his own radio programme in the Yle Radio 1 every Monday since 2013. Schatz has written several books about Finland and Germany.

Schatz is residing in Helsinki.
