Rubio is an unincorporated community in Washington County, Iowa, United States. It is located on County Highway G67, three miles northwest of Richland, at 41.221164N, -91.938143W.[1]

History

Rubio was founded in 1900 when the Milwaukee Railroad was built through the area. Rubio was named after Mexican statesman Pascual Ortiz Rubio,[2] who would later become the president of Mexico.
