Russell Howard & Mum: USA Road Trip is a British comedy/travel series presented by comedian Russell Howard. It began broadcasting on Comedy Central on 19 October 2016 and will run for six episodes. A second series will broadcast in January 2017.

The series was commissioned in April 2016.[1]

Premise

The series features Howard and his mother Ninette travelling across America and meeting people with unusual hobbies and obsessions.

Episode guide

Series 1 (2016)

  • Episode 1 - Russell and his mum are in search of alien life, they're heading to the UFO capital of the USA: Nevada. They join an abductee support group and venture out to a UFO hot spot. Broadcast on 19 October 2016.
  • Episode 2 - Russell and his mum head to Utah to meet and train with the Survival Preppers. They will be transformed into action heroes, capable of facing a zombie apocalypse. Broadcast on 26 October 2016.
  • Episode 3 - Russell and his mum venture south to the Hip Hop capital of the USA: Atlanta. Under the guidance of local legend Dr. Dax, they attempt to master the four elements of Hip Hop. Broadcast on 2 November 2016.
  • Episode 4 - Russell and his mum head to one of the USA's most haunted cities: Savannah, Georgia. During their stay, the Howards are set for a whole host of paranormal activities. Broadcast on 9 November 2016.
  • Episode 5 - Russell and his mum are in South Carolina where they have joined the Knights of Destruction, an All-American Demolition Derby, who find new and insane ways to smash up cars. Broadcast 16 November 2016.
  • Episode 6 - Russell and his mum's American adventure leads them to the Big Apple, where they do things doggy style; getting up close and personal with New York City's most pampered pooches. Broadcast 23 November 2016.
