Salman Akbar (born 3 January 1982[1] in Lahore)[2] is a field hockey player from Pakistan. His playing position is goalkeeper. He is a veteran of 230 games.

Captain Pakistan Junior Hockey Team, Presented Pakistan national senior team in champions trophy Rotterdam,Holland

2002

Presented Pakistan in world cup Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia

2003

Presented Pakistan in champions trophy Amstelveen,Holland

2004

Presented Pakistan in Athens,Greece Olympics and also champions trophy Lahore,Pakistan

2005

Won Robo Cup beating Australia in final Amstelveen,Holland

2006

Won silver medal in Common Wealth Games Melbourne,Australia. Bronze in Asian Games Doha,Qatar and played world cup Mönchengladbach, Germany.

2007

Captain of Pakistan Hockey Team in champions Trophy Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia

2008

Presented Pakistan in Bejing,China Olympics

2010

In November, Akbar was a part of the gold medal winning team at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. At the 2010 Asian games he has rewarded as a best goal keeper in the tournament Beijing, China. Played world cup Delhi,India
