Salome Reischer (Brzezinca,[1] February 19, 1899 – 1980) was an Austrian female chess master.[2]

In 1937, she tied for 17-20th at the 6th Women's World Chess Championship in Stockholm (Vera Menchik won).[3] After Anschluss, she moved initially to Palestine and then, via Argentina to the United States.[4]

In 1939, she tied for 14-16th in the 7th Women's World Championship at Buenos Aires 1939 (Menchik won).[5] After World War II, Reischer came back to Austria. She won thrice Austrian Chess Championship, at Melk 1950, Graz 1952, and Pöchlarn 1954.[2]

She was awarded the Woman International Master title in 1952.[6]
