Daniel Johann (born 1996), better known as salvia palth, is a New Zealand bedroom pop musician.[1]

He is best known for his 2013 album melanchole, which he created at the age of 15.[2] The album gained little traction upon its release, and Johann moved on from making music. However, several years later, it became viral online, with the song "i was all over her", garnering nearly 600 million streams on Spotify as of November 2024. This prompted Johann to release his second album, last chance to see, in June 2024.[3] Despite this success, Johann does not play live shows and prefers to not use expensive equipment or studios.[3]

The name "salvia palth" is inspired by poet Sylvia Plath.[2] He has also released music under the moniker "Adore,1996".[4]
