The Samburu Project (TSP) is a non-profit organization based in Santa Monica, California and founded in the Fall of 2005 [1] by Kristen Kosinski, a former television executive at Paramount Pictures.[2] TSP's mission is to collaborate with communities in developing countries to enhance the daily lives of men, women and children by addressing immediate needs and promoting long-term sustainability, self-sufficiency, and cultural integrity.[3]

The first project of TSP is to build twenty five wells in the Samburu District of Kenya. In the summer of 2006, TSP built four wells at a cost of $10,000 each that currently provide water to thousands of Samburu people.[4]
