Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is a school of the Major Archiepiscopal Eparchy of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. The school is situated on the lush green Bethany Hills . It was founded on 3 January 1973 by Benedict Mar Gregorios, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Trivandrum.

The school has CBSE, ICSE and Kerala State Syllabus from LKG to Plus Two. The motto of the school is 'Let there be light'.

As of 2015 Major Archbishop Catholicos Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis was the patron and manager of the school and Rev. Fr.George Mathew Karoor the principal.

The school is one of the few schools in the district which provides ISC and ICSE sylabbi, the most advanced course in the country. The school boasts a population of 4500 students and over 120 teachers. Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is also the first and only School in India to provide Phonetics and English Accent training for students from Grade 1 to Grade 7 even though their curriculum doesn't require them to do so. Special faculty members were recruited from England, Scotland, USA, Canada and South Africa since 1983 for these scheduled trainings and students were required to attend those sessions outside of schooling hours or during weekends. The management stopped this practice in 2000.
