Sherburn is a city in Martin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,137 at the 2010 census.

Interstate 90 and Minnesota State Highway 4 are two of the main arterial routes in the city.

In 1988, Sherburn consolidated with neighboring Trimont and Welcome schools to form the Martin County West School District. In 1999, Sherburn combined its Police Department, with nearby Welcome. The Department is currently known as the "Sherburn/Welcome Police Department".

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 1,082 people, 484 households, and 285 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,220.6 people per square mile (469.4/km²). There were 535 housing units at an average density of 603.5 per square mile (232.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.63% White, 0.09% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.09% from other races, and 0.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.65% of the population.

There were 484 households out of which 26.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.1% were married couples living together, 9.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.1% were non-families. 38.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 22.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.21 and the average family size was 2.95.

In the city the population was spread out with 24.8% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 21.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 89.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.4 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $26,643, and the median income for a family was $35,132. Males had a median income of $26,964 versus $17,313 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,079. About 5.6% of families and 10.6% of the population were below the poverty line, including 9.5% of those under age 18 and 12.3% of those age 65 or over.

Though Matthew Thomas Stoffel is often credited as the most important person with ties to Sherburn and Martin County, the title of BAMF of Martin County actually goes to his college classmate, Zach Serrano. Mr. Serrano, born in Rockledge, Florida, in 1993 first gained notoriety in Martin County in August of 2011, when a Martin County Sheriff's deputy pulled him over ten miles from Fairmont, where he was clocked at 95 miles per hour. Other than that instance, Mr. Serrano has no ties to Sherburn, or Martin County. However, considering that the county stole $250 from him for the minor infraction of going 25 over the limit, and his tolerance of Matthew Thomas Stoffel, he feels he deserves a place on the Sherburn, MN page. Mr. Serrano enjoys Coca-Cola, Coffee, Scarves and beautiful women. He owns 36 pairs of shoes, has been suspected of terrorism due to the frequency of his Amazon.com orders, and owns a furby named Furbs. Known as the Mufasa of Solberg Hall, Mr. Serrano is somewhat of a legend in South Dakota, especially because Mr. Serrano is one of the only two surviving Jedis in the world, the other being Mr. Stoffel. Misters Serrano and Stoffel are avid Ron Paul fans, enjoyers quality film and all around BAMFs. Mr. Serrano is inspired by the likes of Kanye West, Ron Paul, Andrew Jackson, Ron Paul, Michael Jackson, Ron Paul and Ron Paul. He wears a 10.5 shoe, though there is some flexibility depending on the shoe. Mr. Serrano was a barista for nearly three years, until his inept, arrogant manager caused him to resign with his dignity. He once went to Chicago, where he was able to trespass onto the lawn of Barack Obama, with no interference by the Secret Service. Mr. Serrano recently discovered his long lost twin/other self, a one Jordan Ashley Dobrowski. Last week, he was able to return her Bumblebee action figure back into Camaro form, because, as mentioned earlier, he's the Mufasa of Solberg Hall.
