Shintaro Takai (高井 慎太郎, Takai Shintarō) is an art, graphics & VFX Director at Square Enix. Takai has been working for Square Enix since at least 1993 with their first credit on Secret of Mana. Takai has held a lead position on several major Final Fantasy games and has been working with Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama since Final Fantasy VII. Takai worked with Yusuke Naora as the art directors for Final Fantasy X before being the sole art director for Final Fantasy X-2. In more recent years, Takai was the graphics & VFX director for the Final Fantasy XIII series and the art director for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.
