Ship Harbour is a community of the Halifax Regional Municipality in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia.[1] It is situated at the head of a natural harbour of the same name which opens into the Atlantic Ocean.[2] It is on Nova Scotia Trunk 7, approximately 80 km east of Halifax.

Some of the earliest European settlers of Ship Harbour and the area were soldiers disbanded from the Royal Nova Scotia Volunteer Regiment in 1783.
